Microsoft Edge is the most used browser in companies

Google Chrome continues to dominate the ranking of the most popular web browsers, generally by users who want to have Google services integrated and synchronized between several different browsers. But the Microsoft Edge browser, which officially replaced Internet Explorer; I know is breaking through in an important market, according to new data.
A survey of 3.000 employees by the TechRadar Pro portal, in collaboration with Perimeter 81, has revealed that Microsoft Edge is the web browser preferred by the largest proportion of companies. 37,77% of those surveyed prefer it over alternatives that are more popular with home users.
Microsoft Edge is widely used in companies
Although Google Chrome is not far from the acceptance rate of Microsoft Edge, 33,01% to be exact, according to data provided by TechRadar. But when it comes to the general market, Microsoft Edge is, according to Statcounter; situated around 4%.
Although Microsoft Edge's user base expanded rapidly in the months following its early 2020 re-release, many of these advances stemmed from the removal of Edge Legacy and Internet Explorer. It may also be that in companies time, as they say, is money. The default browser in the most widespread operating system, is bound to be the most popular for not installing a browser that is not in the OS and pass there all markers, cookies and users.
Despite a steady stream of feature updates, renewed marketing efforts, and the integration of Edge into the company's new Windows 11 operating system, Microsoft has struggled ever since to get more people to switch to Edge. It seems that at least in companies it is popular and preferred.

The latest data shows that while Edge has overtaken Firefox in the rankings, it's still a long way behind Safari at 18%. And it is very difficult for it to beat Chrome with 65%. The Safari position is understood by the same as the Edge position: is the default browser of iOS.
Microsoft has been criticized for not wanting to encourage competition when using other browsers. It made it difficult to change the default browser and blocked links opened through its own services from opening in any browser other than Edge. Luckily for users, this has been modified and it seems that its growth is much more natural and not one imposed by the operating system. at least it seems that companies are fine with the default Windows browser.
