NVIDIA is using Gamescom 2019 to showcase its interest in the gaming market . The company hasn't missed the opportunity to generate a lot of publicity with the presentation of numerous products. Among them, it has unveiled new drivers. This wouldn't be particularly noteworthy if it weren't for the fact that it has dubbed them Gamescom Game Ready Drivers.
These new NVIDIA drivers what they implement is a great optimization for games like Apex Legends, Battlefield V or World War Z. Specifically, the company highlights that they improve the performance of Apex Legends by 23% on the RTX 2080 Super. Okay, it's not the graph that most users use, but if it improved only 15% on the RTX 2060, it would be a lot.
NVIDIA Introduces Gamescom Game Ready Drivers
Some drivers that in addition to adding performance optimization in different games, also integrates other improvements. Enhancements have been made to compete with the latest solutions from AMD. Three new monitors have also been added under the G-Sync Compatible certification.
The controllers also include some beta functionality based on the wishes and requests of the community, including:
- An ultra-low latency mode for faster input response
- An integer scaling screen mode for pixel art games
- A new sharpen effect for GeForce Experience Freestyle
As we said, the new drivers also add three new monitors to the NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. This type of certification indicates that the monitors perform well under the company's image sync parameters. The Asus VG27A, Acer CP3271 and Acer XB273K GP monitors have been added.
Unfortunately the new Gamescom Game Ready Drivers are not available for download at the moment. Theoretically they will be available for download throughout the day. Those with the GeForce Experience will receive a notification on their Windows desktop.
