QNAP Systems, Inc. today released version 2.0 of QVR Human, a people counting solution with new features including area density analysis , event notifications, heat mapping, and more. QVR Human provides traffic flow statistics, enabling users to make better decisions to increase sales conversion rates , optimize staff schedules, and improve the effectiveness of marketing and services.
Compared to using the same number of AI cameras or people counting, QVR Human performs counting and analysis on the server side. This offers cost-effectiveness for both retailers and organizations, and users also benefit from the flexibility of choosing IP cameras that meet their needs and budget, as it is compatible with over 6.700 ONVIF-compliant models.
QNAP QVR Human 2.0 Main Features
QVR Human analyzes video streams from various sources, including RTSP servers, QVR Pro, and QVR Elite. Its compatibility with the area density function allows to calculate the level of density, establishing the upper limit of the number of people in a specific area. This function can be used as a notification if someone enters a prohibited area.
Its Cross-Line Counting function detects the number of people crossing the lines in either direction. Up to four detection lines , either straight or polygonal, can be defined for each channel.
Its event notification system sends alerts, such as when a limit has been exceeded, as shown in previous paragraphs. You have the option to view all camera channels , detection lines, and created tasks. Real-time people traffic statistics are available on the dashboard to better manage operations and the flow of people within the facility.
It also allows you to visualize past data in a graph or heat map to understand traffic trends. You can set filters based on specific dates and download reports as CSV files. Finally, you can use a Hailo-8™ module to enhance AI performance, enabling highly efficient, accurate, and large-scale intelligent monitoring with significantly lower operating costs.
QNAP is going to offer one month free trial that includes two camera channels for Cross Line Count or Area Density tasks. Users can purchase a license plan to add more camera channels.
