Interesting is the announcement that Epic Games just made. The game developer company, which has subsequently created its store, has announced the acquisition of Quixel. This company that captures objects from the real world and exports them to 3D libraries was founded in 2011. Quixel worked on the Unreal Engine graphics engine, Epic Games' most popular graphics engine today.

This acquisition allows the company Epic Games to implement more than 10 assets scanned by Megascans. This will allow game developers to create more photorealistic scenarios. Unreal Engine to highlight that it is one of the most used graphics engines today in the video game industry.

Before the arrival of Fortnite, the game that has been a resounding success, the income came from this graphics engine. To give us an idea, the Epic Games graphics engine is used in Gears 5, Kingdom Hearts or Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
