QNAP Introduces QuTScloud c5.1.0 Beta for Cloud NAS
QNAP has just released the QuTScloud c5.1.0 cloud NAS operating system beta. This version supports delegated administration, for improved administration productivity.
It also updates the File Station app with a file search option, and adds optimized file management, and supports AES-128-GMAC for SMB signing acceleration.

This offers a subscription-based service with greater deployment flexibility for ever-growing businesses that need a cloud NAS that fits their needs.
Main new features of QuTScloud c5.1.0:
The introduction of delegated administration improves administration productivity and data security Administrators can delegate 8 types of roles to other users with specified permissions, for NAS data and management tasks. This helps reduce administration workload without sacrificing data access controls.
A new File Station user interface made for quickly finding files that have been recently updated, opened, and deleted. It also allows search for files through a search functions and organization based on the Qsirch full-text search engine.
QuTScloud c5.1.0 supports AES-128-GMAC signing acceleration on Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11 clients, which increases data signing efficiency over SMB 3.1.1, and improves system CPU usage NAS. This provides a balance between security and performance.
Among other improvements, there is now easier access to files using the CIFS/SMB, NFS, AFP and iSCSI protocols. Other cloud storage can be mounted to a QuTScloud instance via HBS, HybridMount, or VJBOD Cloud, thus centrally manage cloud-based data.
