Russia will force all smartphones, computers and other electronic equipment to have applications of Russian origin pre-installed
As of July 2020, all smartphones, computers or other electronic products must integrate applications developed in Russia.
There are very few countries in the world that have significant Internet access restrictions. North Korea has an intranet isolated from the internet, and China carries out significant content filtering. Russia is increasing control of the network of networks and wants to continue tightening restrictions. The last one is that any electronic equipment sold in the country must have Russian applications pre-installed.
This is quite contradictory, since in Russia the Telegram service is currently blocked. Pavel Durov, creator of the messaging and Russian-sourced app, refused to provide a master decryption key. Something requested by court ruling after an attack that would have been carried out under this application. Durov claimed that this key would violate the privacy of users.

Russia wants electronic equipment to carry Russian applications
The rule will come into force on July 1, 2020 and will affect all types of devices. All smartphones, televisions, tablets, computers and others must have Russian applications pre-installed. It will also be illegal to sell one of these products without the installation of Russian applications.
It is allowed to continue using the Android operating system, without problems, but Russian applications must be installed. This is not a negative solution, as it may seem, nor is it an attempt to intervene all devices. The Government of Russia indicates that this is done to encourage citizens to use Russian applications. It seeks to strengthen the technological sector of the country.
Those who will be affected will be the large companies that manufacture smarpthone, which will have to adapt. For the end customer there will be no problem, since they will be complementary applications. An interesting idea that will serve to support the country's technology sector. We will carefully monitor the evolution of this curious rule.
