This year Microsoft has officially stopped supporting the Windows 7 operating system, forcing to update to Windows 10. Although it is a highly valued operating system, the company's update system is really deplorable. All the updates, major and minor, are a real disaster. This year is the Windows 10 2004 update, officially baptized as Windows 10 May 2020 Update.

All the major update packages of the company implement a lot of new features. Two of the most interesting will be the possibility of limiting the download speed of the updates or seeing the temperature of the graph within the task manager. But they will not be the only news in this update.

Windows 10 May 2020 Update will bring many news

We must travel to 2018, when in October of that same year Microsoft released its great annual update. It is considered the worst update that Windows 10 has received and that generated thousands of problems. That update has been the least installed by users due to the problems it caused.

Initially, this year's update should have been released in April, as indicated by the name Windows 10 2004 (20 refers to the year and 04 refers to the month). The company decided to delay the update for a month to verify the absence of problems. Microsoft doesn't want another embarrassing disaster like the October 2018 update. So the update will be released sometime in May.

The name has been found by running the Get-VMHostSupportedVersion command in PowerShell. Inside the latest build for the Insiders program they have found the name of the update. When run with administrator permissions, we can see a list of virtual machines supported by a host.

As always, the Windows 10 update will be done progressively. We recommend pausing updates or avoiding installing this update until it is verified to work fine. Ideally, you should wait between two weeks and a month to avoid any kind of problem with this update.
