Well, it seems that there is a vulnerability in Windows 10 that allows corrupting the information on any hard drive. There is an exploit in Windows 10 that has not been fixed and has to do with the NTFS format.

According to Twitter user 'jonasLyK', a single line command can corrupt the NTFS-formatted hard drive in Windows 10. To do this, create a simple file with this command and voila. The vulnerability analyst at CERT / CC, Will Dormann, has corroborated this.
By delivering via a .zip, shortcut file, HTML, or other formats, the command is executed. This causes file system index corruption. The most serious thing is that it does not require administrator privileges.
According to 'jonasLyK', the vulnerability has been present since the Windows 10 April 2018 Update. Furthermore, he indicates that it remains exploitable in the latest version of Microsoft's operating system.
BleepingComputer also adds that the problematic command includes the string $ i30. This command has to do with the NTFS attribute index in Widnwos associated with directories.
After running the command, Windows 10 displays a message requesting to restart the computer and repair the damaged drive. This vulnerability is also affecting some versions of Windows XP. It seems that this vulnerability, which has been around for a long time and has been reported, has never been addressed by Microsoft.
