Only Dell will initially include AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors in the Alienware Area 51

Dell will be the only company to sell OEM equipment with the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors, which will be incorporated into the Alienware Area 51 equipment.

You can see that today the NDA of the Intel Basins Falls was raised, because after several days without knowing anything about AMD, we have the plenary session, since we have known that AMD would release a review of the AMD Ryzen, it is filtered that the RX Vega could arrive in the month of August and that the AMD Ryzen Threadripper will only be available on Dell OEM computers. The first equipment assembled by manufacturer based on Ryzen Threadripper processors will initially only be from the Alienware family and more specifically on the high-end Area 51 equipment.

Thus, any user who wants to buy a previously assembled computer whose core is a Threadripper processor, will only have the Alienware Area 51 as an option. There is a paradox here, since the Threadripper, the processors intended for more professional sectors and Workstation will only be available on OEM computers from Dell and therefore Lenovo and HP, among others, will have to wait to bring their solutions to market. The paradox is that Dell does not have any kind of exclusivity with AMD, therefore we will also see the Alienware Area 51 with the new Intel Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors.

These special edition teams will be called Alienware Area 51 Threadripper Edition, they will not be for a limited time, but they will have small improvements, such as a bit of factory overclocking the processor, up to 1TB of capacity through PCIe units and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM working at nothing less than 2933MHz. You can choose different processor configurations, whose top will be sixteen cores and thirty-two threads and for graphic configurations we can choose between several NVIDIA, including a GTX 1080 Ti SLI or a somewhat less powerful solution based on an AMD CrossFireX RX 580.

There is no release date or price for these teams and that is until the Threadripper is finally released on the market, on July 29, we will not know anything else officially.
