Steam stops supporting payments with Bitcoin, but is there an optimal alternative cryptocurrency?

Steam this week said to stop working with Bitcoin as a payment method, due to the increase in the price of commissions and we analyzed the best alternatives to this cryptocurrency.

This week we learned that Steam has withdrawn payments through Bitcoin, due to what the commissions have risen, thanks to the large rise in price. This bet has not affected the value of Bitcoin in the slightest, which is in a new readjustment, before it rises again in value. It is usual that on Friday and Saturday it goes down in value and on Sunday afternoon it rises again, it is a trend that started a few weeks ago. Far from these, let's see what are the alternatives to Bitcoin.

The first alternative for Steam are cryptocurrencies that we can call a 'fixed' amount. They are cryptocurrencies that cannot be mined and that are already on the market in their entirety and that usually show more or less stable values with very low commissions. We have Ripple as the first great option, a cryptocurrency that usually ranges between $ 0.2-0.3, a very stable value and that can be a great solution. Cardano is the great alternative, of more recent popularization, it moves at $ 0.11, a value that is very good. Golem is another cryptocurrency that offers a good solution for its adoption and moves between $ 0.2-0.5.

Within these cryptocurrencies with a fixed amount there are other quality options, such as IOTA, which has risen to about $ 4 per cryptocurrency, NEM that these days has risen to $ 0.4 and it is possible that it will remain stable at this value. EOS is another possible alternative, since it has a value of about $ 3.5-4.5 and finally we have NEO, another of these fixed-amount cryptocurrencies, only this has risen to $ 35 in recent weeks and aims to be a value pretty stable, at least, for now.

If we talk about mineable cryptocurrencies, here the options are very varied. Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Bitcoin Gold have already been offered as an alternative for payments. Bitcoin Cash is around $ 1.000-1.500, a fairly high amount, but still much lower than Bitcoin. Bitcoin Gold is a great option, since it is stable between $ 200-400, which is considered its valuation range. Litecoin is another notable option, with a stable value between $ 125-175. Ethereum is a widely accepted cryptocurrency and the second in market capitalization and is now stable at $ 400-500.

Clearly, this cryptocurrency is not lacking in brides and there are options that are more interesting, for moving in stable values, while mineable cryptocurrencies provide us with a great solution that anyone can obtain through mining. Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin are mineable with ASIC, while Bitcoin Gold is based on Equihash and Ethereum is mineable with graphics, being a good alternative solution. Finally, will Steam bet on implementing another cryptocurrency for payments?
