Some time ago We already tested the new RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 graphics cards and among its novelties there was an improvement in video encoding to stream. This achieved improved image quality by having the GPU take over the processing. At the moment it was only in OBS but right now it is in the stable version of Streamlabs OBS.

For this we will only have to download the latest version of StreamlabsOBS. Once we have downloaded and updated it, we will simply have to go to the settings and in Output we will go to “Broadcasting” and choose “hardware NVEC (new)” as encoder. This way, the GPU will be in charge of a large part of the image rendering.
This gives us access to the new version of NVEC, which has been available recently. It is specifically designed for the RTX 2000 and GTX 1600 family of cards, but still all NVIDIA graphics cards will receive some improvement when activating this option, although it will not be such a big improvement and it will depend a lot on the game adapting to this encoding .
It will be available both to make a live broadcast and to record the files and will give us access to advanced settings to ensure that our computer does not make any bottlenecks when recording or broadcasting our games.
