Synology has announced four new enterprise-grade drives in the SA3600 & SA3400 series, featuring petabyte-level scalable storage, and the RackStation RS2423+ and RS2423RP+ Plus series. The 12-bay RS2423+ and RS2423RP+ models are positioned as a backup and data management solution for small and medium-sized businesses and branch offices. They are expected to deliver improved performance over their predecessors, with sequential read/write speeds exceeding 3500/1700 MB/s.
These models feature integrated 10GbE connectivity along with two additional 1GbE ports compatible with 10/25GbE networks. Their 12 bays offer combinations of up to 216TB of total storage capacity. The RX1223RP+ can be expanded to 24 bays with an additional expansion unit for up to 432TB of storage capacity.
Synology Expands Mass Storage Unit Catalog for SMBs
The two Gigabit Ethernet ports enable Link Aggregation for automatic network failover and load balancing. Two units can be synchronized using Synology High Availability to form a reliable active/passive server cluster , maximizing service uptime. The RS2423RP+ also features a redundant power supply to further ensure service continuity.
The SA3610 and SA3410 models are highly scalable and allow you to store large volumes of data without sacrificing speed and performance. They start with 12 drive bays in each system, and can be expanded up to 96 drive bays for a total of 1,7PB of raw storage capacity. They include centralized backup, surveillance, and file server functions.
The SA3600 & SA3400 series supports demanding applications with sequential read/write speeds of over 6200/3000 MB/s, compatibility with Fiber Channel and 10/25/40 GbE networks, as well as SMB multi-channel networking and support .
These devices include a suite of file management, sharing, and synchronization solutions, such as Synology Drive for accessing file management and sharing tools. Hybrid Share enables shared data that is stored in Synology C2 Storage data centers for on-demand access. Finally, Synology Surveillance Station allows you to connect up to 128 IP cameras to each SA3600 & SA3400 series unit and enables easy monitoring, management, and backup of multiple servers through an integrated central management system.
