Inno3D new graphics card with hybrid cooling system
On September 8th, Inno3D unveiled its new flagship GTX 1080 iChiLL BLACK, an amazing graphics card with a hybrid cooling system.
This card, developed by Inno3D, boasts a factory-set GPU clock speed of 1.759 MHz base and 1.898 MHz boost across its 2560 CUDA cores, built on the PASCAI architecture. The 8 GB of GDDR5X memory operates at an effective speed of 10.400 MHz.
Only 25 ° C with the Inno3D GTX 1080 iChill Black card
All the performance described above can be achieved at a temperature below 25ºC, significantly lower than that reached by a reference GTX 1080.
In the following video you will find a very interesting animation of how both refrigerations interact to maintain those incredible 25ºC.
[mom_video type=”youtube” id=”a0dXFftlZdo”]This graphics card with a hybrid cooling system combines the latest in liquid cooling to keep the GPU at incredible temperatures , with an 80mm fan that will dissipate all the heat generated by the GDDR5X memory and the VRMs.
The GTX 1080 iChiLL BLACK is ready to run the most powerful software, including the recent arrival of Virtual Reality.
For this it comes with 8 GB GDDR5X at 256 bit and 2560 CUDA Cores. Inno3D has further enhanced it by offering a 1759 Mhz factory overclock to the GPU (1607 Mhz from stock) and 1898 Mhz (1733 Mhz) from Boost. Still it is capable of maintaining temperatures 30% lower than the reference 1080.
We are already used to everything having LEDs. The guys at Inno3D have taken advantage of it to use them as load indicators. With a simple glance we can see its status.
It will have 3 colors that will indicate the degree of charge it has.
- blue will indicate low usage.
- green a medium use.
- and red will be the one who indicates a high use.
However, this can be modified and leave the LEDs for purely aesthetic use.
