Tencent, the Chinese technology giant, launches its application to cast content from computer to mobile. At the moment it only allows the League of Legend game and its Teamfight Tactics mode.
The video game sector is serious about sending content from the PC to the mobile in any way. One of the most accessible options is to send the content from the desktop PC to the mobile, mostly to achieve more comfort although there are no studies yet on whether this function is widely used, but Tencent wants to make it possible.
The giant of the technology world has opted for a system similar to Valve's SteamLink and PlayStation's Remote Play. It is nothing new and also requires the console or the computer to be turned on, so the advantages are debatable and situational. Still it is good that we have this possibility.
Remote play with League of Legends
The service, which is still in the testing phase, at the moment is only capable of broadcasting the League of Legends game, but it does so with both the normal mode and the Teamfight Tactics mode, with which they try to make it possible to use their autochess on mobile.
The system seeks to offer all the content of WeGame, the Chinese equivalent of Steam. With 300 million registered users and with 70 million monthly users they have a great testing ground to test if this works and make it profitable.
This will end up being streaming game from Tencent servers, but for the moment it must at least be linked by connecting from a WiFi network with the active WeGame account.
There is no release date on this and we doubt very much that it will end up in Europe and America, but it would not be strange if they ended up selling the license to other companies looking to do something similar.
