The F2-423 and F4-423 models feature an enhanced quad-core Intel Celeron N5105/5095 CPU with maximum speeds of 2,9 GHz. They also offer improved energy efficiency compared to the previous generation, resulting in less impact on electricity bills. Their on-chip AES-NI engine provides real-time encryption capabilities , and a dedicated 4K multimedia decoding engine enables reliable and efficient video streaming directly from the NAS.
With the new generation of CPUs, performance improvements will be noticed in high workload scenarios. The TerraMaster NAS 423 series delivers up to 50% more performance than the previous generation, with a 37% increase in file and photo retrieval speed, a 35% increase in database response speed and a 40% increase in the response speed of web pages in PHP.

Their compatibility with numerous file services, including SMB, AFP, SFTP/FTP, iSCSI, NFS, and WebDAV, allows the TerraMaster F2-423 and F4-423 models to meet the cross-platform file service needs of various network environments. Both NAS devices in the TerraMaster 423 series support Windows Active Directory and LDAP domains, ensuring seamless integration into existing enterprise computing environments.
