Google Stadia: list of compatible Google Pixel phones
Google Stadia will be compatible with a number of Google Pixel models at launch. In the future they will add compatibility with other mobile devices.
This November, Google Stadia will launch, marking the Redmond giant's first foray into the gaming world. Their idea is a streaming service that can run on mobile devices and Chromebooks , which will be able to handle new games like Watch Dogs Legion.
What mobiles can use Stadia?
Good question. Given that one of the advantages of the streaming game is that it can be used on mobiles with an internet connection and nothing else, although it would be more comfortable to play it with a controller; This is expected to be one of its pillars and therefore Stadia should be compatible with many models.
It is known that it will reach a large number of devices, but for now, only a small list of devices will be supported at Google Stadia launch. All of them e the Google Pixel line because we understand that they want to promote the official Googles mobiles. The list of compatible Pixel mobiles is as follows:
- Pixel 2
- Pixel 2 XL
- Pixel 3
- Pixel 3 XL
- Pixel 3a
- Pixel 3a XL
- Pixel 4
- Pixel 4 XL
Basically, if your Pixel is 2 or higher, it will be able to move the Google Stadia app or system. We already assume that, while the service lasts, the rest of Google Pixel that come will be compatible with it. There are no words as to when mobile phones from other brands will be compatible, such as Xiaomi, HTC; Samgsung… It's all a matter of waiting but we can't imagine that it would take more than a year to reach brands outside of Google. They want and need to reach the maximum number of devices and therefore cannot be closed to only those of their own brand. It would be normal if they do not reach the most minority brands, but we do not see them ignoring the most popular ones.
