A new Bioshock is officially in development

Ever since Bioshock Infinite came out years ago, fans have been asking for a new game in the series. Although his wait is getting longer thanks to the fact that his creative Ken Levine left 2K years ago.

For years it has been speculating that this new installment is going to be released. And it's not easy to think that they are going to do it without Ken Levine. If Bioshock Infinite managed to be a smash hit, how to let the series die if they can release new installments using their name and that have little to do with the original games?

2K and Take Two are not leaving Rapture

There has been a lot of speculation that 2K Games and Take Two will follow through with the series. And today they just confirmed that they are on it. They had seen job postings and comments on LinkedIn, but today they can finally say that they are doing a new Bioshock.

The companies have created the Cloud Chamber team, fully dedicated to developing this new Bioshock. but they already warn us that the wait is going to be long and that it will be under development in the next few years. We do not expect there to be a trailer for anything related to the project until at least E3 next year, and it will be something that most likely does not have much to do with the final game since it only takes six months in development.

We can bet that it will almost certainly come out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett and that we will not see it in this generation of consoles that is about to end. And if it's still active, we'll possibly see it on Stadia. Little more can be said about this announcement other than that we have years of waiting to even see the first trailer, and that the best we can do is be patient until official details are revealed.
