The next arrival of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is filtered, the definitive revision of this classic strategy game that would have important improvements.
Retro-gaming is catching on and is resurrecting classic game consoles and sagas. We have seen how Nintendo or Sony reissued their consoles and even Atari seems to release a console with a retro air. Some games also return with a remastering, which is translated, the same old game with new graphics. One of these games is Age of Empires, the mythical Microsoft game that was so popular in its day. Age of Empires II: Definitve Edition would arrive shortly according to the Entertainment Software Rating Board.
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition coming to market shortly
This game is expected to be compatible with Windows 10 only, it would not make sense for it to support other older operating systems. Something that would be very interesting is that this game had support for high resolutions, such as 4K. What is known for sure is that there will be a new improvement in terms of graphic quality. New animations will be added to the game and the ability to zoom, something not possible in the original game.
The soundtrack and sounds for this game have also been revamped to offer higher quality. A new multiplayer mode for up to 8 opponents and a new scenario editor have been added, better than the classic one. This new game mode will allow us to create, share and download a large number of maps. Possibly the door will open to the creation of Mods, which may have a lot of prominence.
We must remember that already in 2013, Microsoft Studios released Age of Empires II: HD Edition, a version with a slight graphical improvement. It is possible that this new edition brings some important news for lovers of the saga to buy the game.
