We, the developers, have had several discussions about what we want to do with the game. When did we stop working on Among Us 1? What content will Among Us 2 include? The main reason we are making a sequel is because the codebase for Among Us 1 is very outdated and not designed to support the inclusion of new content. However, seeing how many people are enjoying Among Us 1 really makes us want to be able to support the game and take it to the next level. We have decided to cancel Among Us 2 and will instead put our full attention on improving Among Us 1. All the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will go to Among Us 1. This is probably the most difficult option because it means gradually modifying game source code and rework various parts of it. We have a lot planned and we are excited to bring new content for everyone as they continue to enjoy playing.
