Among Us on consoles is unlikely due to its difficult communication
Among Us is a great success on PC and mobile phones, and bringing it to consoles has not been ruled out. The problem is communication.
Now that almost everyone has played Among Us at least once, and with updates planned after the sequel's cancellation, a console version might be on the horizon. In theory, it's an easy game to port due to its relatively simple gameplay, but that's not the main challenge such a version would face.

If you have played games, you will know that communication is important. Saying if you've seen someone use windows or proving your innocence are things that are easily done via text or voice chat. And that's the biggest problem the port of Among Us would face on consoles if it were done.
One of the inherent problems with consoles is that typing on them isn't comfortable. There have been technological attempts to make it comfortable and fast, but none achieve the precision of physical or touch keyboards. The developers of Among Us thought they could implement a series of pre-set phrases, similar to Rocket League.
Another option will be voice chat, but that requires buying additional accessories. Finally, it would be to allow physical keyboards connected to the consoles, but not all of them work and it is not easy to configure them. It seems silly, but it is a huge problem that can make the game experience of Among us much worse on consoles than on mobile or PC. Fast, accurate and variegated communication is a must in a game and the default messages could be insufficient very quickly. It is possible that in the end they will make versions for consoles but everything indicates that they prefer to focus on updating the versions that already exist.
