Overwatch 2 removes two characters from your selection because the exploits they cause

The launch of Overwatch 2 is full of problems, among which did not like the new monetization switching to free to play mode, or the huge queues caused by DDoS attacks, or that the in-game chat has been buying skins using the virtual currencies that are earned using real money, there are many stories. To this is added that Blizzard has had to withdraw two characters temporarily: Bastion and Torbjörn.

According to a post made on the Overwatch Twitter account and in last night's status update, Bastion has been completely deactivated from the game. For its part, Torbjörn has been removed from all game modes except Quick Match. Blizzard's reason is that both heroes are experiencing bugs that heavily affect gameplay.

Overwatch 2 opens with two practically broken heroes

Players have reported that Bastion has a bug where his Ultimate fires powerful shots multiple times. It was thought that it should be used up to three times in a few seconds. Torbjörn's bug was that his Overload ability would trigger a second overload with bonus armor after holding the button for a second.

It is not known how long the two characters on the list will be absent. Four hours after Blizzard addressed the buggy heroes, another bug appeared that prevented players from accessing the heroes they had unlocked. Blizzard says the bug was caused by a problem on the server that tracks player progression and that will solve it as soon as possible.

Bastion Skin Lego Block Overwatch

Having two heroes removed from a game that currently has 35 characters, but three of which are locked if you haven't played, is a hefty loss of playability. Hopefully they'll be back soon, but this adds to a growing list of issues the game has had since its move from Overwatch to Overwatch 2. It's possible that the heroes will be fixed and work as intended, or they may revert to their original state. original state before the rework if the problem is the rework of the characters themselves. Although it does not seem that the latter is the case, and in a few days we will be able to play with those heroes again.
