Battlefield V is now available and to the great surprise of many it does not have micro-transactions. Something that apparently will change later. But don't worry, we explain everything right now.
Apparently it will happen the same what have we been able to know about Fallout 76, that we explain in this link.
And we shouldn't worry about how DICE's latest installment, Battlefield V, will handle microtransactions, since it turns out that they will be for buying "cosmetics", exactly the same as in Fallout 76, so as long as it doesn't affect gameplay and doesn't make it pay-to-win, I don't think it should bother us in the slightest.
DICE has commented on Battlefield V saying “We want players to enjoy the experience, the progression system, and the Company Coin earning before we introduce the premium system. So it won’t be about “paying for more power.”
The money will be called “Company Coin,” an in-game currency that can be earned simply by playing the game and can be used to purchase vehicle and weapon upgrades or cosmetics such as weapon skins. But don’t worry, “Company Coin” purchased with real money will only be used for specific cosmetics within your Battlefield V company.
DICE has also given information about the progress system that will be divided into 5 categories:
1- Career rank: All progression in general. That by raising the rank will give us new Company Coins and unlocked vehicles.
2- Class Rank: It will unlock new combat roles and weapons for our 4 classes as we go up the class.
3- Weapon rank: The weapons will level up individually and we can buy improvements for each one.
4- Vehicle Rank: Like weapons, vehicles level up individually and can be upgraded.
5- Chapter Rank: Similar to War Stories, but we don't know more details about this yet.
The Battle Royale mode will not arrive until March 2019 so we will have to wait to comment on this new content for Battlefield V.
