Black Mesa: Xen presents a new trailer!

The Black Mesa remake that began as a free Half Life mod finally seems to be getting the piece of the game it was missing: Xen. A map that we have been waiting for something to be known for quite some time.

The original Half-Life turns 20 this week, and to celebrate the team behind the high-profile remake, Black Mesa has a new trailer to share. It's our first look at Xen, the setting for the original game's troublesome third act, and it looks phenomenal. The team says it expects to release the level to the public sometime in the second quarter of 2019.

Black Mesa, which launched on the Steam Early Access program in May 2015, already looks and plays phenomenal. The 10+ hour experience takes players through the entire game, to the point where Freeman is supposed to re-enter the testing chamber and be teleported to Xen. Once Xen is added, that will make the total experience about 16 hours.

Now, decades after Half-Life's original release and fifteen years after the remake's development began, the new trailer and planned release date of early 2019 mean that Black Mesa: Xen is finally almost ready to breathe new life. to one of the best video games ever created.

I am interested in being a stylized 3D modeler. With that touch that Blizzard or DarkSiders have. I really want to learn more every day and never stop improving.
