Call of Duty: Warzone is officially announced by Activision

Activision's new game is anything but controversy-free . A few weeks ago, a teaser for Call of Duty: Warzone, the completely free-to-play Battle Royale game, was leaked. The company sued Reddit for refusing to release the details of the user who posted the teaser. Now, with the official announcement, Activision is in a difficult position.

When Activision's lawsuit was released to Reddit, it sparked a major controversy and brought the game back to the limelight. It is best to let the wave break or present the game and stop fussing. But Activision, true to its somewhat stupid line, tried to spread the video, which went viral.

Warzone, Activision's Battle Royale tomorrow will be available

During the presentation they highlighted that 'Free to Play' type games generate more money than paid games. The company points out that users who enjoy the game are usually prone to spending money. They have also highlighted that smartphone games move more than PC and console games together.

Call of Duty: Warzone will be available starting tomorrow for PC on Battle.net, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will have a Battle Royale mode and a Plunder mode.

The press release is as follows:

Warzone takes place in Verdansk, an expansive city with multiple named zones and more than 300 points of interest. Each zone has different landmarks, such as the Gorengard sawmill or the Gora dam; Zones are developed in different types of settings like cities and rural areas for unique engagements. Change the delivery location in each match to get a better layout of the terrain and take advantage of what Verdansk has to offer.

Call of Duty: Warzone shares cross-play and unified progression with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For players who already own the full version of Modern Warfare, all earned content, including Battle Pass items, Operators, weapons, and customization items, will carry over to Warzone, and all progression earned in Warzone will count toward overall Modern Warfare progression. For players who do not own the full version of Modern Warfare, all progress and items earned in Warzone will be rewarded through Multiplayer and Special Ops in Modern Warfare, should they choose to purchase it.
