CD Projekt Red is going to be giving updates to Cyberpunk 2077 in the future, until it is a good game. Now, how long will that promise last?
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 last December was widely criticized because a studio capable of delivering a game of the caliber of The Witcher series released an incomplete and poorly optimized game. They have been gradually releasing a few of the many patches and updates the game needs to reach the level of quality people expected. CD Projekt Red insists they will be constantly updating the game until it achieves a minimum standard of quality.

And it is that, without being an entirely disastrous game, there are some quality elements in the game. But not enough of what people expected after years of promotion and hype. Adam Kicinski commented in an interview with the Reurters portal that they hope to bring the game in a state where they can be proud of it and sell it for years.
Patch 1.2 was recently released which adds changes to police behavior and some bugs. A few small fixes that improve the gaming experience, but it is far from reaching a level of quality comparable to that of other major releases that Cyberpunk 2077 faced.
We can expect that they will release more and more patches since they want to sell the native version of PlayStation 5 and Xbox series in an acceptable state in a moment. Beyond that, the future of Cyberpunk 2077 remains to be seen, but they can always surprise us with new free content that makes Night City a more alive city. And it is that CD Projekt RED has a rough diamond to polish, but that requires a lot of time, work and organization, and at the end of the day the fans will reward it.
