Team17 will bring CONSCRIPT, a survival horror set in the First World War

Publisher Team17 and Australian developer Catchweight Studio have recently announced their collaboration to bring the game CONSCRIPT to Steam in 2024. The title has been in development for six years by a single person at Melbourne, Australia.
CONSCRIPT immerses players in the trenches of World War I in a survival horror experience inspired by the classic games of the genre. Set in 1916, during the Great War, the game mixes the mechanics of classic horror titles in a survival horror experience. Players explore the trenches of Verdun as a lone French soldier searching for his brother missing in action to make sure that a home is not broken.
The terror of WWI as it's never been experienced before in CONSCRIPT on Steam
Players will be immersed in the madness of war, engaging in combat against enemy soldiers, managing limited supplies, and solving complex environmental puzzles. To test CONSCRIPT, the game already has a demo on steam.
We will experience a classic and methodical survival horror gameplay in a unique and rarely used historical setting in the sector, such as the Battle of Verdun. The title promises to be highly replayable with various difficulty levels, multiple endings, unlockable costumes, and additional weapons.

We will face several of enemy soldiers and fighters with various melee and fire weapons of World War I. You will have to survive in an intense and harrowing atmosphere, and powered by a unique pixel art aesthetic with a sound design designed to be oppressive.
Catchweight Studio is really just me. So after six years of development, I'm glad to have the support of the experienced folks at Team17. CONSCRIPT grew out of my own love of history and survival horror. I have long dreamed of creating games and stories that people can play. Over the past six years, I've been happy to see a community of players grow around CONSCRIPT, and I'm looking forward to working with Team17 to release the game to the community and players around the world in 2024.
