Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to the Epic Games Store and also to Steam and GOG

Finally, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 have decided that the game will reach the Epic Games Store, GOG and Steam, without exclusivity.

Deep Silver and 4A Games' decision to launch Metro Exodus exclusively on the Epic Games Store has been expensive. There have been many criticisms of the developers. CD Project Red does not want surprises with Cyberpunk 2077, a highly anticipated game. Although rumors have appeared that it would only arrive for the Epic store, the developers have come to the fore to deny this information. They wanted to stop the rumors before they end up causing problems in sales.

Cyberpunk 2077 will not be exclusive to the Epic Games Store

To clarify that Cyberpunk 2077 will not go exclusively to the Epic Games Store, they have posted a clarification on this on Twitter. It was specifically in a tweet where it was requested that the game not go exclusively to the Epic store. They have made it clear that this will not happen.

In addition, to end any hint of doubt, they have said in a specific tweet that it will not be exclusive, coming out for all platforms, including the Epic Games Store. Although it would be an option for the developer, for now they have ruled it out. Finally it seems that the game will reach GOG, Epic Games Store and Steam, so you can choose a platform according to our tastes.

The developers seem to have found it interesting that the game reaches the more platforms, the better. The consumer is left to choose the platform they prefer to have the game.

That many opt for the Epic Games store is because it offers developers 88 percent of the price of the game. Epic only keeps 12% and if you use their Unreal Engine graphics engine, you also save the 5 percent commission for the graphics engine. Steam keeps 30 percent, and developers must pay Epic Games 5 percent for using their graphics engine. CD Project Red's strategy with Cyberpunk 2077 is based on satisfying everyone.
