Death Stranding is coming in November

Death Stranding finally has a date. The wait will not be longer unless a serious incident occurs.

After a few days of teasers and countdowns, Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions have recently shown new information and trailer for Death Stranding. The game has been in development since 2015 and is taking shape without pause but without haste and now it finally has a specific release date.

Hideo Kojima returns in November on PlayStation 4

To the important thing: When does Death Stranding come out? Well, it comes out on November 8, and on PlayStation 4. We won't have to wait for the PlayStation 5 to come out or for the year to pass. Unless the game runs into major development problems between now and October, which is when the game will be put into production.

The release date announcement came with even more characters joining the roster that already includes Norman Reedus, Guillermo del Toro, Troy Baker, and Mads Mikkelsen, among others. Kojima is surrounding himself with his favorite movie stars, backed by Sony's deep pockets and carte blanche. But knowing these are high-caliber stars, they could provide unparalleled publicity for the game. It doesn't seem they've brought back Junji Ito, whom they had planned to use in Silent Hills . There are also the typical cosmetic items as a pre-order bonus on the PlayStation Store.

But it seems that there is someone who has not benefited the announcement of this date. The Last of Us Part II. Given that Sony wants to stagger the releases of the few PlayStation 4 games it has left until the launch of PlayStation 5, the release of Death Stranding in November leaves little room for the end of the year and would have been delayed to early next year. Now we just have to wait and see if Kojima has released another game worthy of its name like the one that should have been Metal Gear Solid V.
