On the occasion of E3, Nintendo put a Nintendo Direct which would announce among other things, a new character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The Nintendo Direct has just ended and you have a summary, but we will tell you some of those announcements right now, such as the one for the expected additional characters, including Banjo Kazooie.
Two characters for Smash, for both Japanese and Western fans
At the beginning of the Nintendo Direct it was shown that a new DLC character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate will be The Hero of Dragon Quest. They don't give him a specific name even though he's commonly known as Erdrick. One of the peculiarities of this character is that he will have alternate appearances of protagonists of several titles of the Dragon Quest saga, such as Dragon Quest III, Dragon Quest V, Dragon Quest VIII and Dragon Quest XI. These heroes will arrive this summer.
In another part of the same Nintendo Direct they confirmed that the Banjo and Kazooie couple of the Banjo-Kazooie will also be additional characters for Super Smash bros ultimate. Your wait will be a bit longer and they will arrive this fall.
With these, there are already three additional characters for the game: Joker from Persona 5, The Hero of the Dragon Quest franchise, and the Banjo and Kazooie duet of the Banjo-Kazooie. We also know that these characters will bring with them a new setting, new songs for the musical selection, and several additional spirits to collect for our collection. It is expected that between now and February of next year they will announce the rest of the additional characters for this Smash Bros, which will all be new, none will be a clone of those already present, and all will bring with them new scenarios and musical themes.
