The Spanish indie game GRIS is a bestseller. The Spanish team is very grateful for the good reception of its platforms focused on the careful artistic section.

Last week, the platformer GRIS from Nómada Studios was released on Nintendo Switch and Steam. Created by a small team from Barcelona, the game quickly became one of the most anticipated indie titles among the gaming community due to its distinctive art style.

The GRAY game is not particularly long, about three or four hours depending on the abilities of the player, but that has not prevented it from being a relative success in sales. For now they have not given exact number of sales, but they say on their Twitter account that they have already sold enough to recoup their development investment.

From now on, all GRIS sales will be benefits for the studio

That means that the next sales of the game will be pure benefits for Nómada Studios, and the game has yet to be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Although the success story of Nómada Studios must be taken carefully before turning it into a inspiring success story, as the success of these games is somewhat rarer than you think.

The development of GRAY, in the absence of exact details, is not one of a very high development cost like Uncharted or Halo. In addition, it had the help of Devolver Digital as a distributor and appeared in a Nintendo Direct, which helped promote itself to the Nintendo Switch public.

But that doesn't change the fact that GRIS is indeed a huge sales success and has become one of the most popular indie games of the year. Its success puts Nómada Studios on the map and the game as a prime example of what the Spanish video game industry is capable of. We hope that the rest of Nómada Studios' games receive the same care and attention as GRIS, as well as the same sales success.
