Electronic Arts expects to sell 6 million copies of Anthem in the first 37 days
Electronic Arts expects to sell more than six million copies of Anthem in the first 37 days of its arrival, they told investors.
Yesterday we commented that some directors of Electronic Arts were afraid of possible bad sales of Anthem. This fear stems from the poor sales of Battlefield V and the bad financial data presented by the company. Well, Electronic Arts would have told investors that they expect to sell six million copies of Anthem, the company's new Triple A game, during the first 37 days of the game's arrival on the market. A pretty optimistic forecast considering the criticism the game is receiving.
Electronic Arts says they will sell six million copies of Anthem in 37 days
The comparisons are quite obnoxious and the game mostly compares to Destiny and Warframe. The latter also has the characteristic of being free and having a large number of players. Additionally, Warframe has been on the market for months and a large amount of content, something that Anthem would be lacking at present, which would arrive prematurely.
It is no less curious that EA insists on giving figures, when to sell copies of Battlefield V they have had to lower the price of the game much and even so, they have sold a million fewer copies of the game. Just eight days after releasing Battlefield V, it received a discount of more than 20 euros.
And it is that Electronic Arts does not lack competition, due to the recent launch of Apex Legends, a Battle Royale based on Titanfall. This game, which was announced 24 hours before hitting the market, seems to be working well. A game, on the other hand, that seems to be causing a drop in sales or at least a slowdown in the sale of copies of Anthem. We'll see if they get to the numbers or crash.
