Fallout 76 will have microtransactions, Bethesda explains it won't be Pay-To-Win

Pete Hines, head of Bethesda explains how they have implemented microtransactions in Fallout76 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Like many games coming out soon, Fallout 76 will feature micro-transactions, but Pete Hines doesn't want us to worry about it. According to him, Bethesda will only offer cosmetics to buy with real money and will not affect the gameplay in the least.

This has worried us and it is important because as we already know, this Fallout 76 is going to be a change in the franchise and people have been somewhat worried since E3, the players are taking it in two very extreme ways, one is mine We simply prefer to wait to see what comes out and we hope it is hilarious, and the other is the people who have directly made their disagreement notice from social networks. As we already know, the information we have about Fallout 76 does not have to be so bad, although the lack of NPCs and our friend the dog catches our attention.

Pete Hines has also explained to make his position clearer that Fallout 76 is intended for player versus player face-to-face combat and that if they sold better weapons with micro-transactions they would be destroying the essence of the most skilled winning.

The Fallout 76 micro-transactions will come in the form of atoms, which we can buy in the AtomicShop store with real money (like the turkeys in Fortnite), but anyway Pete Hines has said that Bethesda will give you rewards in the form of atoms aa Players who complete certain objectives in the wasteland.

“If you don’t want to spend money in the Fallout 76 AtomicShop for cosmetics, you shouldn’t. We’ll give you a shitload of Atoms just for playing the game,” says Pete Hines. “If for some reason someone doesn’t have enough Atoms for a cosmetic and you want to buy some Atoms, you can, but it won’t be like, ‘I’m now stronger against other players because I spent money.’ It’s not going to be pay-to-win and it’s not Loot Crates, either, because that would destroy the experience Fallout 76 is trying to provide.”

An important point is the theme of the Fallout 76 DLC, all content released after launch will be free. The cosmetics theme will stay in the AtomicShop.

Anyone who pre-purchases Fallout 76 on XboxOne will receive just 500 atoms. What we do not know is if it is a lot or a small amount and we will not know until we see the prices that Bethesda puts on those cosmetics. The company is actually putting out a 1TB XboxOne X that comes with a copy of Fallout 76.

If you were worried that a kind of StarWars Battlefront II would come out, my advice from here is that you do not worry, and that I trust Bethesda and hopefully the new Fallout 76 is a very different and very fresh delivery and you have to take it heartily . Whether we like it or not will be something we will see when we see it.

I am interested in being a stylized 3D modeler. With that touch that Blizzard or DarkSiders have. I really want to learn more every day and never stop improving.
