The Fortnite x Mayhem special event is announced to commemorate the upcoming release of Borderlands 3, which will arrive on September 13.

The success of Fortnite, and the fact that no one has been able to dethrone it, is due to the sheer number of events and improvements that are constantly being added. Apex Legends has tried to surpass it, but this didn't last long. The tenth season of the game was recently announced. Now, the 'Fortnite x Mayhem' event has been announced, which will add a map and characters from Borderlands.

Fortnite, despite starting out as a paid game with little success, was to put the Battle Royal mode for free and be the most played. This title generates millions of euros in microtransactions every month. But this event has been launched to commemorate the arrival of Borderlands 3 on September 13. The game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store, hence this promotion.

New event in Fortnite for the departure of Borderlands 3

So the 'Fortnite x Mayhem' event will start today and will last until September 10. The event will close only three days before the launch of Borderlands 3. For this, an area called Pandora Rift Zone has been enabled, which is very reminiscent of the first images shown from Borderlands 3.

It will be a desert terrain with the same aesthetic as the new game. In addition, the Psycho Bundle has been added to the store, which adds the Borderlands Psycho character skin. This skin has all the details, even the Claptrap robot.

When we enter this new area, if we do not suffer damage, we will see how our shield is recharged without the need to carry one or have drinks. Epic Games has also said that it will add more news, but that we will have to discover them while playing.

You can also make creations based on the objects added in Fortnite Creative. Then you can share it on social networks and Reddit under the hashtag '#FortniteXMayhem' until September 6. If you are lucky your creation will appear in The Block.
