Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is coming to Nintendo Switch this year
The game based on the famous and classic Ghostbusters license, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition, in an asymmetrical 4 vs. 1 player hunt and chase style by IllFonic, is coming to Nintendo Switch this year. The digital game will be available on the My Nintendo Store.
The physical version of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition will be released by Nighthawk Interactive. Ghostbusters fans who own a Nintendo Switch will now have the chance to join forces or take on current users of on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox series X, Xbox series S and Xbox One, because the game it can be played between players of the various platforms.

The development team has been working on adapting the title for Switch. It will run at a dynamic resolution ranging from 720p in handheld mode, 1080p at full quality and 30fps when docked.
In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore open the doors of the Firehouse for you along with the next generation of Ghostbusters. This asymmetrical hunt or be hunted title is a 4 vs 1 player video game that can be played as part of a team of new Ghostbusters or as a ghost.
This video game not only allows players to enjoy the game alone or with up to four friends, but also features a single player mode, both online and offline, assisted by AI. And most importantly: as you play, the story will unfold through numerous cutscenes. Those who are already playing the game will be excited to know that the story will be expanded with the Ecto Edition, which will be released later this year. Whether stalking or hunting, the game is easy to learn and fun to master!
As a player, I wanted this to be something that I would be proud of and excited to play. The game will feel just as familiar on Switch as it does on other platforms, it's a high-quality port. And most importantly, I'm excited to play the game with my daughter, who plays exclusively on Switch.
