GTA V disappears from NVIDIA GeForce Now and could become exclusive to Google Stadia

Without any warning, GTA V has disappeared from the games available on NVIDIA GeForce Now and they suggest that it would be exclusive to Google Stadia

There are games that, despite being on the market for years, continue to sell very well and are played by thousands of people. One of these games is Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) . Rockstar has done a great job with this game, which continues to sell well and is widely played. In addition to Steam, this game was also available on GeForce Now, NVIDIA's cloud gaming platform.

NVIDIA's GeForce Now costs €8 per month and offers a catalog of 100 games. These games can be played without downloading or installing anything. The platform has, without warning, removed GTA V from the catalog. The reason for this is currently unknown, although theories have already emerged.

It appears that Rockstar Games customer service has removed the game in a completely arbitrary manner. Users on Reddit have speculated that this was due to an exclusivity agreement on the Google Stadia cloud gaming platform. The game at the moment seems to continue on Steam and only on Stadia will it be for Cloud Gaming.

A major agreement was recently signed between Google and NVIDIA for Stadia. In addition, Rockstar Games appears in Google presentations as one of the studios associated with its cloud platform.

No one so far has published a statement regarding this strange movement. This makes it clear that streaming services, even if we buy the game, will never end up being our property. In Stadia we will have to buy the games and at the moment, it does not seem that there is or could exist in a future communion between Google and Valve.

Stadia and other Cloud Gaming platforms receive strong criticism for different reasons. The free accounts of the Google platform will be activated in 2020 and will allow you to play titles purchased on the platform at 1080p @ 60FPS, without paying the subscription. When Google Stadia arrives, we will know what it offers, how it works and if it is worth it or not. For now, all are doubts.
