2 200 PS3, PSP and Vita games will be lost when their stores close
A few days ago it was announced that new PS3, PSP or PS Vita games cannot be purchased in their digital stores. It has been estimated that it will affect 2 games.
This summer, access to the digital stores of three consoles of the PlayStation family will be closed. With this, you will not be able to get new digital licenses for those games or any other DLC, although the ones we already have in our account can be reloaded. And that shutdown will affect thousands of games when it happens.

Thousands of PS3, PSP and PS Vita games will be inaccessible or incomplete
On July 2 the PS3 and PSP game digital stores will close, while on August 27 the PS Vita will close. In the portal Videogames Chronicles they investigated and gave figures of how many games will be affected as they are not available in physical version.
- Over 730 exclusive PS3 games in digital format
- Over 630 exclusive Vita games in digital format
- A small number of PSP games without physical edition
- 293 PlayStation Minis, PSP games that also work on PS3
- 336 classic PS2 games
- 260 classic PS1 games
Not all games will be lost forever, but that version will be at the mercy of the second-hand market for physical games, which we imagine that they will be revalued by becoming collector's items and the only legal way to play them. In the strictest sense of the word, 120 games will be completely lost by not having versions on other platforms. But you also have to keep in mind that you will lose the DLCs of exclusive PS3, PSP and PS Vita games that for some reasons, have not received versions of mobile phones, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch or Xbox. A hard blow to game conservation, a subject that the sector has been putting off for years and that it does very little to try to solve.
