Kingdom Hearts III will receive free and paid DLCs

At least two additional content packs are coming to Kingdom Hearts III. There will be one free, one paid, and they are thinking of adding Critical mode to complete the game. You will not have to buy a Final Mix edition to have the full version of this release.

Kingdom Hearts III was released at the end of last year after years of waiting since its announcement. The impressions of the users have been positive but many think that it lacks content to be complete. Formerly the Kingdom Hearts received in Japan a Final Mix version that introduced a lot of additional content but in the era of digital downloads that is no longer carried.

DLC is coming for Kingdom Hearts in the near future

Testuya Nomura has confirmed in an interview that they already have plans to introduce a series of additional content in Kingdom Hearts III. They will also somehow introduce the critical difficulty level. But they don't want it to be just a more difficult mode but one that takes advantage of the game's combat system, puts players to the test, and is fun.

For now they are developing packages of downloadable content, one free and one paid. They have not been able to say the contents that it will have except that the free package will have small details that are easy for them to do. The paid one promises that it will have a lot of content and will be developed throughout this year. possibly coming out in late 2019 or early 2020.

This means that Tetsuya Nomura will be engrossed in developing the content for Kingdom Hearts III rather than continuing with the Final Fantasy VII remake. Development for the remake is lagging long between development changes and the little time Tetsuya Nomura can spend on it. It was announced at E3 2015, and although there are games that have been in development for longer since its announcement, that it was announced so early and barely gave any news about its situation is annoying fans.
