Kojima offers new details of Death Stranding development
Hideo Kojima spoke about the current status of his next title, Death Stranding, at an event called RTX Sydney this weekend.
The creator of the Metal Gear Solid saga invited his fans to closely watch the trailers for his new game, Death Stranding, at an event in Australia this past weekend. These new trailers offer many clues about the themes of the upcoming title announced for the PlayStation 4 platform. Hideo Kojima's new game will feature actors such as Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, as well as Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, in a story yet to be revealed.

Kojima mentioned that creating a game is a difficult and time-consuming process, so the previews shown are intended to gauge fans' reactions. On the other hand, the Japanese creative commented that the industry has changed a lot during the last 30 years; However, the mechanics in videogames have undergone slight changes. Kojima wants to innovate in this regard and create connections where there were none before.
Furthermore, Hideo Kojima mentioned regarding his new project that: "The game will be open world and will offer many possibilities in terms of gameplay. This range of freedom will be similar to other AAA games already on the market, and after playing Death Standing for a couple of hours , players will notice something a little different."
Regarding the graphics engine, Kojima stated he was satisfied with Guerrilla Games ' Decima Engine , but that they had to adapt and modify some of its tools thanks to the collaborative work of Guerrilla Games and Kojima Productions. Therefore, two different companies are working on improving the engine. Kojima's team is working on the game's logic; they are also testing the systems and framework, work that will continue throughout this year.
Finally, Kojima confirmed that there will be no delays to the game once the official release date is decided. Death Standing will be released on PlayStation 4 as a timed exclusive, and they haven't ruled out releasing the game on other platforms.
The narrative and roles of the actors involved in Kojima's new game are unknown.
