Xbox series X comes out this November, with thousands of games available at launch. There is no exact date, but we already know the month in which it reaches stores.
Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has officially announced the launch month for the upcoming Xbox Series X console. It will be released in November, and this announcement has many implications regarding the games and services that will be available. Halo Infinite will not be included , as it has been delayed until next year.
A tweet confirms that Xbox series X arrives in November
A few hours ago, Aaron Greenber, head of marketing for Microsoft's games division, confirmed the launch month of Xbox series X. He did so with the following tweet.
The "thousands of games" he is referring to include games from the first Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One that will be backwards compatible on Xbox Series X, as well as the launch games for the console itself.
The fact that the Xbox Series X is launching in November suggests that they will most likely want to take advantage of Black Friday deals to get the console into homes in the US and other participating countries. This year, Black Friday shopping looks set to be significantly impacted by the coronavirus to avoid large gatherings, but there are always online deals.
This also means that xCloud will most likely leave beta by November. The elimination of the Xbox Live Gold subscription is also a possibility, given that they no longer allow annual subscriptions and the games included with Games with Gold are becoming less significant. There's speculation that they might either offer free online play to gain an advantage over the PlayStation 5 , or integrate it into Xbox Game Pass. Whatever the case, we now just have to wait a few weeks for future Xbox Series X presentations to confirm the final release date and price.
