NVIDIA GeForce Now for $ 4.99 per month and with support for digital stores such as Steam or EPIC Games Store

NVIDIA has been working on its streaming gaming platform for a long time. NVIDIA GeForce Now has been in beta for a long time and has been tested by over 300.000 users. Finally, after the great failure of Google Stadia, NVIDIA has officially launched its product and is in the final phase. The platform will arrive with different memberships and it will not be necessary to buy the game.

The number of smartphone users is brutal, as is the number of PCs, which is estimated to be 1.200 billion. The problem is that not all computers have the power to move the newest games on the market. Neither is a smartphone worth it, so we have sought to develop a technology that allows us to play regardless of the hardware we have.

NVIDIA GeForce Now, gaming for everyone

This platform, developed by NVIDIA, allows users to connect, whether they play for leisure or professionally. NVIDIA will run the games available on GeForce Now ; we'll just have to enjoy them. Currently, the platform is available on Mac, Shield, Android, and PC, and will be coming to Chromebooks in the future.

One of the most interesting aspects is that it makes use of its own technologies, such as Ray Tracing. Note that currently only NVIDIA offers graphics cards that support this demanding technology.

Jen-Hsun Huang highlighted that she has worked with major stores and publishers to offer full compatibility. This will allow Steam users to run any game using GeForce Now, regardless of hardware. It is not clear, but UPlay, Steam and EPIC Games Store would already be compatible with GeForce Now. They also work with other stores and developers to offer this possibility to users.

This is perhaps the main difference with Google Stadia. The games available for Stadia are limited to a handful of non-relevant games that we have to buy on the platform. It does not matter if we had already bought them on Steam, EPIC Games Store or wherever, they are not worth, we have to pay again. NVIDIA has been smarter and will allow you to run any game in our library without having to go through the checkout again.

More and more compatible titles

The integration with third-party stores is not yet complete and complete, there is a long way to go, but the step taken is important. Although there is no official list, it is indicated that there are a large number of titles available. At least 30 titles are from other platforms and digital stores that will be able to run under GeForce Now.

We can play PC titles without having a powerful computer that could cost us a lot of money. We will also save the money of having to buy a title a second time.

NVIDIA's platform also eliminates the need for upgrades, no compatibility issues or performance issues. NVIDIA takes care of all this and also of communication with the store where we have bought it. We simply have to choose which game we want to rock and NVIDIA takes care of everything.

NVIDIA has highlighted that during the closed beta, lucky participants noticed a significant performance boost in 80% of cases. This is because their systems weren't powerful enough to run the game at high frame rates and high graphics settings, not to mention ray tracing.

Free and paid version

GeForce Now has a FREE version (free) and a version called FOUNDERS (paid). The free version will be very basic, so that we can savor the platform and pay for it. We can play for only 1 hour per session and it will be standard access. We will not have Ray Tracing, we will not have access priority and we could even be thrown in favor of those who pay (something logical)

The FOUNDERS version is what we could call good. This gives us priority access, we can play as much as we want, Ray Tracing in the games that allow it and the first three months are free. The price is $ 4.99 for this whole year, which will be € 4.99, possibly.
