After just a week, they have managed to crack version 6.0 of Denuvo
The Denuvo 6.0 version implemented in the Total War: Three Kingdoms game barely lasted a week before being cracked.
Game piracy is something that has been giving major developers headaches for years. For this, different solutions have been tried or developed. Among them this Denuvo Software Solutions GmbH has developed software to prevent piracy of games. This software is not one of the most effective in the world, hacking even before launching the game.
Denuvo 6.0 has been integrated into the digital version of Total War: Three Kingdoms. This game was released at the end of May and this past week it was updated to version 1.1.0. Along with this update came the most current version of this software. It has not lasted long and it has already fallen to less than a group of specialized crackers.
Denuvo 6.0 drops in just one week
SEGA relies heavily on software to protect games developed by Denuvo. A tool that systematically ends up falling, each time with more speed. Following the drop of this protection, it is possible that the game developers will retire Denuvo. As it is no longer useful, there is no point in keeping it and continuing to affect performance.
Bethesda is another company that often relies on this software. Once this no longer serves any purpose, they eliminate it to solve the problem of decreased performance.
Denuvo software had to be a great solution to the piracy problem in the video game industry. The reality is that this software has a durability of days and in the best of cases one or two weeks. It is not free and it has been shown that it directly affects the performance of the game.
In addition, many users often wait for them to delete this software that has a great impact on the game. They usually wait for it to be eliminated after being hacked and thus not have the game below what it should be.
