The Epic Games Store is very much in its infancy and is missing a lot of features. Epic Games says that it no longer knows by when they promise each of those news to be in the launcher.
For now with the Epic Games Store you can buy games, launch them and have a list of friends with whom to play games like Fortnite. Helpful and period... But users believe that it has numerous functions that pale in comparison to Steam, a store that has been including these novelties based on receiving criticism for more than a decade.

One of the promises that Epic Games had given us is a Thrello page in which they put all the implementations and news to make the experience in the Epic Games Store a more complex and complete one. Things like a shopping cart to prevent them from thinking that your card has been stolen, a page to host mods, user reviews ...
They are not superfluous news like the inventory and the gray market that it has. Many are utilities that will make the purchase in the Epic Games store more attractive. For months they have been delaying bringing them in from the date they promised and now they have admitted that they cannot promise any dates.
It does not mean that they will leave the Epic Games Store as is, but that they can no longer predict how long it will take to let users comment on the quality of the game, or be able to buy multiple games at once with a single transaction. It means they can't predict how long each of those promises might take to implement. For now they have started saving games in the cloud, even if it's for a few select games. We will have to wait much longer to have our shopping cart and user reviews to know if a game is worth it or not.
