Resident Evil 3 Remastered in HD by fans
Resident Evil 3: Seamless HD Project is an unofficial project and it is totally free for fans who want to play it.
This group of fans have remastered the RE3 with quite a few improvements and have named it Resident Evil 3: Seamless HD Project. To be able to enjoy this remastering you need to have a PC and the emulator for GameCube, Dolphin. Also, you will need an ISO of the game to be able to emulate it. The mod is for the GameCube version of the game, not for the PC. It's unknown if Capcom will release an official remaster, but producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi said it would be possible if fans really want it. While we wait for that to happen we have this independent project.
In addition, on the web, apart from including a customized version of Dolphin (a Gamecube emulator), they include an FMV package; replaces the original interlaced 320 × 160 FMVs at a new 640 × 320 resolution. Among the improvements that we can find are the improved visual effects, greater detail and definition in the elements of the game, textures of the 3D models improved, machine learning to increase the scale of the backgrounds. On the other hand, it includes improved menus with high-resolution character portraits and in some cases, manual editing to ensure good visibility of the texts. It is possible to find some errors during the game, they will be solved with future updates. Here is the project website. I leave you with the video and with the captures of the game.
