Square Enix wanted to show the magical result of using Ray Tracing. Since the first RTX came out that brought a great novelty, the Ray Tracing, from that moment Nvidia is concerned about how fast the acceptance of its technology will be in current and future games. At the moment among the most important games that make use of Ray Tracing are Control, Battlefield V, Metro Exodus, Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It has been more than a year since they were released and the acceptance by the developer studios is not entirely full.
This Square Enix tech video makes phenomenal use of Ray Tracing
The video has been created by the Luminous Productions studio, a studio affiliated with Square Enix, which has made wonderful use of Ray Tracing, it is simply beautiful and surprising. They wanted to show the power that the Luminous Engine has inside, which now has support for Ray Tracing. This technical demo runs on an RTX 2080 ti, something that is not available to everyone. But yes, the result is amazing.

The Luminous Engine graphics engine has been used to bring games like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV to life. It makes use of Nvidia tools like ShadowLibs, HairWorks, VXAO, and Turn Effects, and now they have added support for Ray Tracing as well. The demo runs in real time.
