PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for all 2.5 million simultaneous players on Steam

The game of the year, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, continues to make history in the world of video games, already passing 2.5 million simultaneous players on Steam.

For a few days we had not talked a bit about our friend PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the Shooter game based on the Battle Royale system, which is sweeping the market and has become one of the most important games in history. This game has already sold more than 20 million copies on Steam alone, as it is the only site that you can buy, until it arrives for the Xbox One X, but that will be in the middle of next month. The developers did not expect this success and logically, they are making money.

One of the important aspects is that the developers, in the best of cases, expected 100.000 people playing simultaneously, but quickly that number fell short and has passed to Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive, as the most played game, then broke the Dota 2 record with 1.3 million simultaneous players and the last broken barrier is 2.5 million simultaneous players. Fortnite, a game that intended to steal players from it, has remained a simple anecdote, since players continue to prefer the Bluehole game.

The figure of 2.5 million simultaneous players is a real madness, especially if we consider that these have not achieved historical games, belonging to great sagas. The game, which is a mixture of action, strategy, stealth, aim and mischief, is a real challenge for players and winning will not be easy in this spectacular game. It should be noted that Bluehole has recently signed an agreement to leave the Amazon servers, which have caused some problems, to move to Microsoft servers, specifically Azure, with a significant discount.
