The Pokémon Go Team Medallion will let us move on to another team, for whatever reasons we want. It will not be given for free at PokéStops. It will have to be purchased and its sale will only be allowed once a year.
When we start playing Pokémon Go they ask us to select a team to join for the rest of the adventure. Your choice is crucial since it conditions us when interacting with gyms, whether to attack or defend them. For different reasons there are people who no longer want to be on the same team and now want to change it, and that is what the Team Medallion will be for.
Pokémon Go will allow us to change teams
Niantic has announced that Pokémon Go will soon have an object that will allow us to change the team we are on. The object in question is the Team Medallion and it will allow us to go to another side once a year. It will be in the store under a price of 1000 coins and they will only let us buy one every 365 days.
Now, what reasons can one have for wanting to change sides with which they have been for years? We can think of many. A group of regular friends or co-workers who go out to rampage gyms together may want everyone to be on the same team to play together. The same with relatives.
The Team Medallion will arrive in Pokémon Go on February 26, that is, tomorrow. They warn us that all our Pokémon that are in Gyms when we change teams will return without having won Pokécoins once they are defeated. Nor will we be able to fight our own Pokémon. That means that if we return to a Gym that is defending one of our Pokémon, it will return to us without having won Pokécoins. Many freelancers won't see much use for the Medallion, but some groups of players who play in the same city will be delighted.
