Pokémon Masters will be a mobile game with traditional mechanics
Nintendo has announced Pokémon Masters, a new game that will bring back favorite trainers from past games. It is announced for this year, although still without much data regarding the game.
The Pokemon Company has had a very complete night with their announcements. The latest big announcement, not counting the expansion of the t-shirt line, is Pokémon Masters, designed for those looking to have a Pokémon game on mobile and want to recover some of the old trainers.
In an announcement that stands out for its brevity, since several games were announced in half an hour, this is undoubtedly one of the ones that has had the least time despite being the one with the most potential. Pokémon Masters is another collaboration with Deena, the developer that most partners with Nintendo for mobile games, and is looking for a more traditional game mode on smart devices.
A traditional Pokémon game announced for iOS and Android
Little has been said except showing some trainers and a bit of the battle system. We are greeted by Gary, a well-known character from the game series, who shows us other trainers such as Brock, Misty and CYnthia. We will be in 3 vs 3 battles, so everything indicates that each trainer will only have a limited series of Pokémon and we will have to fight in these battles to unlock more rivals.
As we already mentioned, not many more details have been given that will be discussed more in June, but surely it will not be in the Pokémon Direct of next day 5, since that will surely be covered by Sword and Shield. We can only wait for more data to be given, but it seems that it is closer to the demands of those who expected a more traditional game on mobile phones and that Pokémon Go seems little to them by not offering combat and exchanges in the complete and strategic way of the original games.
