Counter Strike 2 is coming to Steam this summer
Valve Ride the wave of the dollar with Counter Strike: Global Offensive, thanks to sales and their skins market from which they get a small commission from their thousands and thousands of transactions. It was not expected that in the short term, not even in the middle, they would be with a new installment, but today they have officially announced Counter Strike 2.
This sequel itself will be released in the summer of this year on Steam, so we won't have to wait very long to try it. Of course, admission to the trial version of Counter Strike 2 seems to be limited.
This is the limited test of Counter Strike 2
To gain access to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Trial, players will be selected based on a number of factors deemed important by the development team. is included Recent game time on official Valve servers, trust factor and Steam account status.
If you are chosen to participate in the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Trial, you will receive a notification in the main menu of Counterstrike: Global Offensive. Once you receive an invitation, you will need to select “SIGN UP” and start the download. Once the download is complete, you will need to launch CS:GO and select the “Limited Trial” option to play the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Trial.
More players will be added to the Limited Trial over time, and users who didn't initially get access are encouraged to check the main menu to see if they received an invite outside of the initial block.
The Limited Trial is expected to go on sale in Summer 2023. Initially, it will offer Deathmatches and Unranked Competitive Matches on Dust2. Future limited tests will offer additional game modes, maps, and features.
Items from my CS:GO inventory will be usable in Counter-Strike 2. All weapon finishes, stickers, and other CS:GO inventory items a user has will be available for use in Counter-Strike 2. Inventory items will not be able to be modified during the limited test, such as applying stickers, scratching, using trade contracts, and other ways that players can modify their items in-game.
XP can be earned in the Limited Trial and carried over to CS:GO. For streamers, it has been confirmed that videos of the Limited Test may be broadcast or recorded. There will be no access to workshop maps or the option to play on community servers, nor will there be any Mac or Windows versions of the Limited Trial.
