Quantic Dream considers that bringing PlayStation games to PC has been a success due to the great reception
From Quantic Dream they consider that bringing exclusive PlayStation games to PC has been a success, due to the great reception by users.
The big problem with console games is that they must be adapted to quite limited hardware. As these limitations exist, many studies develop only for this platform or do portability to PC without adjusting. This causes that in PC they have so many problems of bugs, they are thought and they render quite bad. Quantic Dream has adapted their games to PC and they assure that they have optimized them a lot.
Quantic Dream for a decade has only developed games for PlayStation console. They had an important exclusivity and could only be enjoyed on the Sony platform. The company has adapted Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, or Detroit: Become Human for the computer. The director of the study has also said that this has been a great decision.
Adaptation to PC of the Quantic Dream games has been very careful
David Cage during an interview about Quantic Dream games, said that bringing the games to PC has been "tremendous". He noted in the interview that the PC community has welcomed the PC conversion very well. And it is not for less, since the three adapted games are considered three tremendously good games.
“This is a completely new market for us, although it is true that we started as a multi-platform developer, as with our first game, Omikron: The Nomad Soul, which came to PC and Dreamcast.
The reception that the PC community has had has been tremendous, it is as if we expanded our family. Of course, we will keep our PlayStation family, but now we will make our games available to everyone, whatever their platform, ”explains David Cage, Director of Quantic Dream.
Hopefully this great reception will help the studio develop PC games again. Also, this verifies that the PC platform, if taken care of, is highly appreciated.
