Rumors suggest that Google is making its own console with exclusive games

Liam Robertson, known for having contact with people in the industry, is the one who has leaked the information to the YouTube channel Spawn Wave. Google's foray into video games comes from afar, but now would be the time when they would enter to compete against Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.

According to recent rumors, Google would be willing to enter the video game market with its own division. Your bet would not only be with a streaming service like the one that already exists with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. They will also have a traditional court console under the codename Metallurgy.

Streaming and downloadable games would be the basis of the Google console

According to rumors, Metallurgy will have a streaming game service and will allow games to be downloaded if we do not want to deal with lag. This will make it a console without a method of reading physical media such as cartridges or discs, since only digital games can be purchased. With these indications, and if it is capable of moving games like Assassin's Creeed Odyssey, it is implied that it will be a console with comparable power to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

Google's console is not short of exclusive games, and some of those in development could arrive later this year, possibly by the end of the year. According to Liam Robertson, "I've seen some of these games and they are ones that people will want to play."

As is usual, they are just rumors that come from company plans and at some point they can change or be canceled. The idea of having Google as a competitor in the console market is interesting. But if your highest bets are streaming games and exclusive games don't generate enough interest, you'll have a hard time competing with three companies that have been in the market for years.
